France - Canal du Midi to Hauteford

Every little town like Tourouzelle seems to have an area which is termed the 'old town' and all the historical buildings are there. Apart from churches you are likely to find fortifications, towers and old walls usualy built in Roman times (they seem to have been everywhere!) The more modern houses have been built around the old town as the population grows.
